Another local on the court last night at the Greensboro Coliseum vs. the UNCG Spartans

The UNCG men topped Lees-McRae 86-47 in men’s college basketball at the Greensboro Coliseum last night and we had another former local in town, with Lee-McRae’s Asad Lamot hitting for six points and claiming 4 rebounds for LM…

Lamot is from Northen Guilford HS and he played here in town during his high school days and now these days, he plays for Lees-McRae….

For UNCG on Wednesday night Nicholas Paulos had the hot hand, going 8-12 from 3-point range and finishing with 26 points….Derrell Armstrong added 19 for the Spartans and Kayel Locke pumped in 14 for the ‘G’ men…

One of the referees was Mark Chafin and I’ll do some more research on him, but he does look to be one of Karl Hess’s teammates from his college days at Liberty University…Hess with ACC, plus Southern Conference connections and others, as a men’s basketball official and now famous for kicking Chris Corchiani and Tom Gugilotta out of a game at N.C. State, in Raleigh last year…Will do more research on this Mark Chafin, a former guard at LBC/LBU/LU in Lynchburg, Virginia….
