In a Piedmont Triad Conference matchup, the visiting East Forsyth Eagles never trailed and completely dominated the home-standing Tigers on Tuesday night as they rolled to a 65 – 42 win.

After staying close in the first five minutes of the game, Ragsdale got within one at 11 – 10 with 2:51 left in the quarter on a Jarrett Holland rebound put-back bucket. The Eagles then went on a 9 – 0 run to up the lead to ten points before two Daniel Kanakanui foul shots cut the lead to eight after the opening quarter at 20 – 12.

East Forsyth gradually upped that lead to as many as 19 in the second quarter before Ragsdale scored the last six points before the half to make the score 37 – 24 at the break. The Tigers scored the first two baskets of the second half to get within nine, but that was it as they could get no closer and East opened up the lead to as many as 24 in the fourth quarter as Ragsdale Coach Craig Shoemaker played the entire final quarter with his starters on the bench.

This was the second match-up between the two Conference foes and East Forsyth completely dictated the flow of both games with their defense. Their motion offense also led to wide open shots and they shot a high percentage from the field. Ragsdale only had oneplayer to reach double figures as Jarrett Holland scored 10 points, all in the first half. East Forsyth was led by point guard Drew Cone who scored 14 points, 10 of them in the opening quarter.

Next up for Ragsdale is a home game tonight against the Parkland Mustangs, while East Forsyth will go on the road Thursday night to face the Glenn Bobcats.

After Ashlyn Jones scored the first basket of the game, Ragsdale scored the next seven in the quarter and kept the lead until the fourth quarter. The lead expanded to as many as nine with just under 2 minutes left in the third quarter as a Jasmine Williams basket made it 21 – 12. Rousseau hit one of two foul shots to cut the lead to one and Ragsdale hung on in spite of a couple of turnovers over the final 40 seconds to secure the Conference win.
