GREENSBORO, N.C. – Pfeiffer men’s tennis improved to 2-2 in Thursday’s 9-0 men’s tennis victory over Guilford College in nonconference match play.
The Falcons’ Ben Hunter had the lone shutout set during his first set at third singles against Guilford’s Trevor Cox. The doubles tandem of Orlando Castillo and Luis Villalta shutout their second doubles opponents of Ben Nelson and Trevor Cox, 8-0.
John Brvenik lost a tough match against Jimmy Molina at six singles, 6-4, 7-5. Charlie Smith and Erik Meiler fought back at first doubles, winning a team doubles-high three sets.
The Quakers are back in action Friday (2/15) against Old Dominion Athletic Conference-foe Virginia Wesleyan at 2:00 p.m. at the McMichael Centennial Class Courts.
