Last Time Out
The Phoenix picked up a monumental 75-58 win over Appalachian State on Monday, defeating the Mountaineers for the first time in over four years. The win also extended Elon’s home winning streak to nine games and 11-2 overall in Alumni Gym this season. Sam Coffer had a stellar night, going 6-of-8 from the field and a perfect 3-for-3 from long distance to score 15 points. Ali Ford led the team with 19 points, while Kelsey Evans posted 18 points. Kelsey Harris also set a new career high with eight assists.

Scouting the Wildcats
Davidson currently sits second in the conference standings with a 15-3 SoCon record. The Wildcats are coming off a 68-59 loss on Monday at Chattanooga after winning four straight. Sophia Aleksandravicius leads the team with 15.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, ranking fourth and first in the conference, respectively. She also leads the league in blocked shots with 2.9 a game. Laura Murray is the other Wildcat averaging in double figures with 12 points/game and is shooting 36 percent from three-point range.

The Series
The Wildcats lead the all-time series between the two teams, 17-6, having won the last four meetings. Elon’s last win against Davidson came on Dec. 20, 2010, by way of a 61-60 final in Alumni Gym. In the last meeting, Ali Ford finished with a game-high 23 points, while Sam Coffer posted a season-high 16 points and two blocks.

Top of the Class
Saturday’s game will mark the final one in Alumni Gym for seniors Arayael Brandner, Kelsey Evans, Ali Ford, Lei Lei Hairston and Shon Redmond. This class has helped Elon to a 63-58 record over the past four years, including a 20-13 mark two years ago. This group also took the program to its first postseason tournament appearance since joining the Division I ranks in 2011.

Defeating Them All
If Elon claims a win over the Wildcats on Saturday, the Phoenix will have defeated every league team this season. The maroon and gold has posted victories over the other nine conference teams, including regular-season champion Chattanooga, which only has one tally in the loss column.

Looking Ahead
Elon will travel to Statesboro, Ga., to play its final game of the regular season on Monday, March 4, at Georgia Southern. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m.
