Powerade State Games High School Baseball Coaches Announced
Registration is open and tryouts are scheduled to begin
DURHAM, North Carolina, March 6, 2013 – The Powerade State Games High School Baseball Showcase will take place June 19-23 at UNC Charlotte and Hopewell High School. The High School Baseball Showcase pits the best 20 underclassmen players from eight North Carolina regions against each other to battle it out in front of over 80 college and professional scouts for the gold, silver and bronze medals.
The coaches have been selected for each regional team and are listed below with their high school in parentheses and the head coach listed first:
Region 1 – Hank Tice (Riverside-Martin), Ryan Meadows (N. Pitt), Jason Mills (DH Conley), Ryan Whitney (Washington)
Region 2 – Robby Lasater (W. Carteret), Jackson Massey (Goldsboro), Richard Foy (New Hanover), Cal Parker (Wallace-Rose Hill)
Region 3 – Leonard Allen (Bunn), Greg Clifton (Faith Christian), Jon Smith (Hunt), Eddie Loesner (Northern Nash)

The Powerade State Games of North Carolina is gearing up for another year of exciting competition in the Charlotte region. The 27th annual Powerade State Games begins on June 1st and concludes on June 30th and covers the entirety of Mecklenburg County and beyond, with competitions taking place in Mooresville, Hutnersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Charlotte, Indian Trail, Pineville and Wingate. The 2013 Opening Ceremonies will be held June 21 at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in uptown Charlotte. The Opening Ceremonies features a commemorative gift for participating athletes, games, music, a parade of athletes and a lighting of the cauldron to announce the official start to the 2013 Powerade State Games of North Carolina.
