GC Men’s Golf Concludes Three-Day Jekyll Collegiate Tied for 12th

The Pride men’s golf team moved up four spots on Sunday to finish the three-day Jekyll Island Collegiate in a tie for 12th among 30 teams. Greensboro capped the tournament with a team round of 306 for an overall score of 923 (311-306-306).

Gregory Pappas turned in the top scorecard with a 228 (78-73-77) to place in a tie for 29th overall in the indivdual standings. John Grimes (81-76-74) and Scott Novicki (78-79-74) continued to play even, finishing tied for 51st at 231.

Brian Critzer added the final official score with a 234 (75-78-81), while Luke Erickson came in at 254 (80-87-87).

Illinois Wesleyan held on to its day two lead to take an eight stroke victory at 882 (295-292-295). Brad Shigezawa (71-72-74) of Claremont Mudd Scripps and Stefan Johnson (72-74-71) of Illinois Wesleyan tied for the individual tournament title.

Greensboro will return to the course on March 22-24 at the Camp Lejuene Intercollegiate.
