Ragsdale and Raleigh Broughton met at the USA Training Complex in the Bobby Murray Invitational on Saturday. Broughton scored single runs in the first and second before Ragsdale tied it up in the fourth as Colin Lipke and Bryson Harrald got RBI’s. Broughton took the lead back in the fifth on a Wilson White bunt to drive in the go ahead run before Ragsdale came up with a tying run in the seventh. Bryson Harrald and Avery Hodges singled before Niko Orfanedes drove in the tying run with a ground out. The two teams then went four more innings before John Woods drove in the winning run with a solid single up the middle in the bottom of the 11th.

Ragsdale faced Wake Forest Rolesville in the third game of the Bobby Murray Invitational on Saturday. After falling behind 3 – 0 Ragsdale stormed back with 4 runs in the third inning after two were out. An error got things started and base hits from Ben Fischer, Matt Horkey and a double from Avery Hodges led to four runs. Ragsdale added a single run in the fourth, two in the fifth and four more in the sixth to record the 11 – 5 win. With the win, Ragsdale Coach Donnie Maness picked up his 300th career win at Ragsdale.

Ragsdale will return to Piedmont Triad Conference action on Tuesday at home at 7:00 PM against East Forsyth.
