GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro-area native Jaylin Davis(Northeast Guilford High School) matched a career-high with four hits and Will Callaway drove in four runs to lead Appalachian State University baseball to a 9-1 rout over UNC Greensboro in Friday night’s Southern Conference series opener at UNCG Baseball Stadium.

Davis went 4-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI single and two runs scored and Callaway remained red-hot at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a home run and three runs to go along with his four RBI. Led by the duo, Appalachian State (19-10, 9-6 SoCon) pounded out 15 hits en route to its ninth win in its last 12 ballgames.
