College Women’s Soccer Final – Randolph-Macon 3, Guilford 0

ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon College scored three times in the opening 34 minutes and claimed a 3-0 women’s soccer decision over visiting Guilford Saturday in both teams’ Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opener.

Meghan O’Neal connected on an unassisted tally in the 19th minute to open the game’s scoring and Bridget Panas followed less than six minutes later with another solo score, doubling the Yellow Jacket’s advantage. Erin Dziedzina found the back of the net at the 33:09 mark to send the hosts into halftime with a 3-0 lead.

Randolph-Macon’s (3-2, 1-0 ODAC) defense made the lead stand as the Quakers managed just two shots on goal in the second half and were outshot 15-3 for the game. Yellow Jacket netminder Elizabeth Blanco picked up the shutout with one save and Abby Gove had seven stops for the Quakers (0-7, 0-1 ODAC).

Guilford is back in action Wednesday (9/18) when it hosts Meredith College in a 6:30 p.m. nonconference match.
