Greensboro College Pride Volleyball Falls to Guilford 3-0

GREENSBORO, NC — The Greensboro College Pride volleyball team fell to Guilford College on Wednesday night by a 3-0

In the first game, Guilford used a six point run to make the score 12-5, and would not look back taking the game 25-20.

Guilford continued their momentum from the first game to take the second game 25-15, and the third game to close out the match 25-18.

The Pride was led by Liz Widenhouse who had a match high 16 kills. Cortland Phillips passed for a team high 25 assists, and contributed 13 digs. Carissa McCumber also added ten digs in the contest.

With the loss, Greensboro falls to 12-17 overall, and will return to conference action on Saturday afternoon with two matches in Staunton, VA to close out the regular season. Game times for The Pride are 12:00 pm against Meredith, and 2:00 pm against Methodist.
