College Women’s Cross Country Results – Guilford Takes Eighth in ODAC Championships

FARMVILLE, Va. – Guilford College placed eighth among 10 teams at Saturday’s Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women’s Cross Country Championships at the Manor Golf Course.

Bridgewater College placed five runners among the top-nine finishers to easily win the team title with 22 points. Eastern Mennonite University (58), Lynchburg College (90) and Washington and Lee University (97) rounded out the top-four teams.

Bridgewater’s Kaylee Kubisiak won the individual title by completing the six-kilometer course in 23 minutes, 36.80 seconds. She led a 1-2-3 Eagles’ finish and claimed the league’s Runner of the Year Award.

Sophomore Rebecca Reyna (Liberty, N.C./Southern Alamance) placed 29th in 26:37.00 to lead Guilford’s runners. Reyna’s time is 20th-fastest in school history for six kilometers. Junior Pasangi Perera (Chapel Hill, N.C./Chapel Hill) (27:29.20) edged teammate Naomi Madras (Greencastle, Pa./Westtown (Macalester)) (27:30.00) for 43rd place in the 89-woman field. Junior Emily Cash (Hurdle Mills, N.C./Orange) was next for the Quakers in 29:07.80, followed by Molly Anne Marcotte (Raleigh, N.C./Enloe) in 29:42.70.

Coach Danny Cash’s team will run at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional Championships in Newport News, Va., Nov. 16 with hopes of qualifying for the NCAA Championships Nov. 23 in Hanover, Ind.
