Allen Brown stepping down, but not leaving town:Thomasville Bulldogs’ coach went (331-100-2)

Coming in from the Thomasville Times newspaper on Tuesday and also being reported by the News and Record, the head football coach of the Thomasville Bulldogs, Allen Brown, has resigned and is now retired…He will stay in Thomasville and he really wants to spend more time with his family and with his grandchildren, in particular…

Brown went 331-100-2 as the Bulldogs’ coach and won four State Titles….He also served as an assistant coach and helped his son win three State Titles…Not sure how many years Brown actually coached, but I do remember him over at Thomasville back in the early 70’s and maybe even in the late 60’s….

No word on the future of his top assistant Dickie Cline….Cline has been at Ledford, Ragsdale, North Davidson and Glenn over the years as a head coach and has been helping Brown at Thomasville, for the past several years….
