Wyndham Championship Holiday Clothing Sale This Week; Event Open to the General Public

GREENSBORO, N.C. – With Thanksgiving complete and the holiday shopping season now in full swing, the Wyndham Championship is hosting its annual holiday clothing sale this week, and both days of the event are open to the general public, the tournament announced today. The 75th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 11-17, 2014.

Items such as golf shirts, hats, visors, t-shirts and other types of clothing will be available as well as additional Wyndham Championship souvenirs. Everything will be discounted at least 50 percent. Shoppers can pay for purchases with cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover cards. Proceeds from the clothing sale will be used to assist parents or guardians in 10 previously-identified families-in-need with purchasing gifts for their children.

This year’s sale is set for Wednesday, Dec. 4 and Thursday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. The merchandise sale, featuring clothing by Polo Golf and Nike, will be located at the Wyndham Championship office just off I-40 in Greensboro at 416 Gallimore Dairy Road; Suite M; Greensboro, N.C. 27409.

Contested annually on the Donald Ross-designed course at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., the Wyndham Championship was founded in 1938 and is the seventh-oldest event on the PGA TOUR.
