Dudley Panthers take two from High Point Andrews tonight

Game One goes to the Lady Panthers of Dudley:

*****Essence Abraham led Dudley with 17 points and Makala Rouse added 11 for the Panthers…October Campbell led all scorers, as she paced HP Andrews with 19 points…Imani Watkins hit some huge three-pointers for Andrews and helped spark a second-half rally and she finished with 9 points….Dudley was up 32-15 at halftime and the Panthers still led 42-32 at the end of three periods….Nice run and rally by HPA, but a real good job by Dudley to pull away and finish at the end…
Dudley improves to (5-5) with the win and will be home vs. the Smith Golden Eagles on Tuesday Jaunary 7….Andrews girls fall to (5-5) and will on the road to Providence Grove next Friday January 10….

Game Two goes to the Dudley men:

High Point Andrews led 15-10 after one period…Dudley moved in front 25-24 at the half…Dudley was clinging to a three-point lead, 36-33, at the end of the third quarter….Panthers go on to win by 6 points…

*****Freshman Hendon Hooker led the way with 15 big Panther points and he had a large dunk to close the game….B.J. Pittman added 13 points for Dudley….Isaac Brunson chipped in 8 points and he had several key blocks….Khalil Vance with 7 points and most of his came in the paint and he got his share of rebounds too, but he missed a couple of free throws that you know he wants another shot at….Got to hit those and got to get real smooth on the free tosses…For the rest of the Panthers we had Shol with 4 points in the Megatron slot, Gatling had 3 on a nice three, while Seagraves and Brokcington had one each….
For Andrews we had Willis with 13 and that included four threes, the real big man, Weathers had 10 points, Eaton had 9, Davis with 5, Pressley with 4 and Anderson with 2 points is what we had….
Dudley boys see record move to (2-6) overall and they will be in action again on Tuesday of next week vs. Ben L. Smith….Andrews boys drop to (3-7) and they have Providence Grove next Friday at PG….

HIGH POINT — Charlotte Christian came from behind in fourth quarter and edged Wesleyan Christian Academy 33-32 on Saturday.

Charlotte trailed 25-22 after three quarters and outscored the Trojans 11-7 in the final period.

Ebony Zappone led Wesleyan (9-8) with nine points. Nicole Mackey had seven and Anna Massey added six.+++++
