We will be back in action tonight, from the Shane’s Rib Shack on Westover Terrace and the show will go on at 6pm…..This is our Basketball in Focus Show/’Court Report’ and we will be ready to break it all down again tonight from Shane’s….
Up first we will talk with Caroline Spurr and Tamera Thorpe from the Greensboro Day School girls team….They are on a big run this season and they are running right toward and not away from Providence Day…The Bengals fell to Providence Day earlier this season, 61-54 and Providence Day has won the girls’ NCISAA Title the past four seasons and 7 of the last 8 years and 8 of the last 10 and that is the the team that the Bengals must be ready to go after, in/for the long haul….We will talk about upcoming games and basketball life after high school as well….
Due up next will be Kennedy Currie from the Lady Panthers at Dudley High School and for the Dudley girls, they have one of their biggest games of the season coming up tommorow night when the Page Pirates, led by senior Paris Kea, come over to Dudley….Kennedy is a senior leader for the Panthers and we will talk about Dudley’s win over Southern Alamance, 45-44 at SA, the win over Grimsley last Friday night, the loss vs. New Hope Christian Academy back on Monday and for sure, the big game coming up with Page on Friday night…..Kennedy has committed to attend High Point University to play basketball in the Fall of 2014…..
Our final guest tonight will be Marshall Macheledt from the Greensboro Day School…Marshall is a tall 6’8 center and he has a good game and is also a leader for the team off the court when the basketballs are not bouncing…Big man with some big plans for college and we will find out what those plans might be for his future, this evening….Big game coming up for GDS on Friday night, at home versus Wesleyan….This week’s game with WES is SOLD OUT and we will get Marshall’s thoughts on the matchup with the Trojans, this evening…..
We had the ‘Long Ball Ace’, Spencer Wilson from Bishop McGuinness lined up, but he will now be joining us at Shane’s next Thursday night….
