The Women’s Basketball Team from Guilford Technical Community College swept two games this weekend , defeating Cape Fear CC 70 – 61 on Friday and Brunswick CC 63 – 49 on Saturday. In Friday night’s game Western Guilford Grad Carnique Marks had a huge game leading the Titans with 21 points and 15 rebounds. Brittnee Roberts also had a nice game with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Cape Fear had defeated GTCC in early December so with the win the pair split the season series. On Saturday, Marks was once again the catalyst for the Titans, coming off the bench to score 23 points and grab 10 rebounds. GTCC swept the season series from Brunswick and moves to 8 – 2 in the Virginia-Carolina’s Conference. The Titans travel to Patrick Henry CC on Wednesday for a conference tilt at 6pm.
