GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford and East Forsyth battled in a hotly contested Conference Tournament Championship game that ended with a Viking victory by a slim 61-60 count. Northwest overcame a sluggish 1st 3½ quarters. Northwest fought back late in the 4th of players to lead to a true team win.
–The Vikings were led by Nick Powell’s 19 points and Jaylen Gore contributed 11 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Hampton Billips controlled the boards again for the Vikings with 13 huge rebounds.
–L. Curry and R. LaRue led the Eagles with 17 and 14 points respectively.
–Northwest winning the Piedmont Triad 4A Conference Tournament will give the Vikings the #2 seed and a home game next Monday night versus an opponent that has yet to be determined.
