Brown, a 6-2, 175-pound junior, won all three of his matches in the Quakers’ 1-1 week. He teamed with classmate Turner Votipka for an 8-2 win over Greensboro College’s Ian Weiner and Matt Miller at second doubles in Guilford’s 9-0 win over the Pride Feb. 19.

Brown later defeated Weiner, 6-1, 6-0, at fifth singles. Brown claimed the Quakers’ lone singles win in a 7-2 loss to regionally ranked Methodist University Feb. 22 with a 6-3, 6-0 triumph over the Monarchs’ Austin Daglis.

Including results from the fall season, Brown has a 3-2 overall singles mark this year and shares the team lead for singles wins. He is 1-2 in doubles matches.

Coach Dave McCain’s Quakers (1-1) visit NCAA Division II member Barton College Thursday (2/27) and host ODAC-rival Roanoke College the following day at 3:00 p.m.
