Greensboro College Pride Women’s Golf Cards First Ever Team Score at Coosa Invite

ROME, GA—The Greensboro College women’s golf team completed their first tournament of the spring season at the Coosa Women’s Golf Invitational Tournament hosted by Berry College. This was the Pride’s first ever event recording a team score. Greensboro College finished in 11th place with a two day score of 744 (376-368).

The Pride had three players tie for 48th overall with a two day score of 183. Alexis Gregory and Pride newcomer Sophia Sedergren carded a team low 90 on the final day, while Tara Smith was just one stroke behind her Pride teammates on the day. Waverly-Ann Walthal Mendoza finished with a two day total of 195 rounding out the Greensboro completers.

The Pride women will return to the course on March 14th at the Jekyll Island Invite. The event is scheduled to run from March 14th to March 16 at Indian Mound Golf Club in Jekyll Island, GA.
