Why a Women’s team

“Were obviously excited to re-launch a women’s team”, says Dynamo GM ScottZapko. “The past few years we’ve had great success in filling a niche in the gap of quality programming for the college aged male player, with not only the PDL team but also with our Reserve Team Program. The Lady Dynamo will be run very similar to our men’s reserve program, playing an exhibition schedule, and there is a fee to participate. The local youth clubs have done such an extra ordinary job of placing girls into college programs, but that’s kind of where it ends, as the Senior Club in the Triad I saw an opportunity to not only extend our already well know brand but also provide the female player an opportunity to play at the next level during the summer months”, Zapko added.

About the Coach

The Lady Dynamo will be coached by current Barton College Women’s Coach &former NC State Associate Head Coach, Chris Shaw. “I’m excited to have Chris lead the Lady Dynamo”, says Dynamo GM Scott Zapko. “Chris is a well accomplished coach, has worked with an extremely high level ofplayers, and has a passion for the Women’s game. I’ve known Chris for many years and trust he will do an exceptional job of building our Women’s team”, Zapko added.

Lady Dynamo Head Coach, Chris Shaw says ” I’m very excited to be working with such an established organization as the Dynamo. I’m looking forward to providing a quality training program, and working with some of the top local women’s college talent”
