Elon Women’s Lacrosse Set for Weekend Games

ELON, N.C. – For the second straight week, the Elon women’s lacrosse team takes on a pair of Big South opponents this week in Presbyterian and High Point. The Phoenix hosts the Blue Hose in Rhodes Stadium on Friday, March 28, in a 6 p.m. game before traveling to play the Panthers on Sunday, March 30, at 2 p.m. in High Point, N.C.

Looking Back
Elon kept its perfect home record intact last week with a dominating 15-4 win over Longwood last Wednesday in Rhodes. Anna Vitton scored four goals and earned one assist against the Lancers, while Sloane Kessler netted three goals and assisted on two. The Phoenix is a perfect 3-0 in home games this season. The maroon and gold then faltered on the weekend with an 15-8 loss at Davidson on Saturday. In the game, Olivia Fernandez led the Phoenix with three goals, while Sydney Hesselbein scored two goals and had one assist.

Looking Ahead
Elon will play its final non-conference game of the season on Sunday, March 30, at High Point. Opening Draw against the Panthers is set for 2 p.m. The Phoenix will host Kennesaw State in its final home game of the season on Sunday, April 13, at 1 p.m. in Rhodes Stadium.
