Elon Women’s Golf Leads Field at UNCW Seahawk Classic After Two Rounds

WALLACE, N.C. — After two rounds of action at the UNCW Seahawk Classic on Saturday, the Elon women’s golf squad leads a nine-team field after finishing the day with a 603 (297-306). The Phoenix has a four-stroke advantage over second-place Delaware with one round to play.

The Phoenix saw a pair of golfers post scores of 146 to sit in a tie for second out of 50 individuals. Sunna Vidisdottir notched rounds of 69 and 77, while reigning SoCon Golfer of the Week Kelsey Badmaev tallied two 73s on the day.

Just four shots back in a tie for sixth is Kathryn Buckingham who finished at 150 (75-75).

In a tie for 36th is Emily Brooks. Brooks will begin Sunday’s final round with a score of 165 (84-81).

Finally, Katie Partridge’s 166 (80-86) has her sitting 41st after two rounds of action.

Host UNC Wilmington’s Lori Beth Adams leads the individual field after ending the day at 145 (74-71).
