Game One of Elon – Furman Baseball Series Suspended

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Due to rain in the Upstate of South Carolina, Friday night’s Elon baseball game at Furman has been suspended in the middle of the fifth inning with the Phoenix trailing 4-0. The game will be resumed at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning and will be followed by the regularly scheduled game.

Furman got on the board with one run in the second on a wild pitch before a two-run homer from Jake Jones made it a 3-0 game in the third. The Paladins tacked on a fourth run in the fourth thanks to a sacrifice fly.

Through the first four innings, Elon’s lone hit has come from Casey Jones, the SoCon’s leading hitter.
