GC Pride Men’s Golf Adds Two Recruits For 2014-2015 Season

GREENSBORO, NC — Greensboro College Head Golf Coach Dirk Fennie announced the addition of two individuals to the 2014 Pride men’s golf recruiting class: Kevin Borowicz (Grand Island, NY) and Tristan Lough (Elon, NC).

Kevin Borowicz, Grand Island, NY, Grand Island High School
High School: Was selected as Niagara Frontier League Player of the Year in Junior and Senior seasons…..Three time All-Niagara Frontier League Selection….Finished fourth in Section 6 High School District Championship….Currently ranked as 19th best junior golfer in New York.

Coach Fennie On Kevin: “Recruiting Kevin has been a great experience for me,” Fennie Said. “His attention to detail in everything he does, the excitement that he displays about coming down south and playing year round will be infectious amongst our team. With the ability to practice year round I believe his golf game will be one that will help this team be a force in the conference, region and country.”

Tristan Lough, Elon, NC, Eastern Guilford High School
High School: Four year letter winner at Eastern Guilford High School….Four time team Most Valuable Player….Four time NC Mid-State 3A Regional Qualifier….Two time NC 3-A State Championship Qualifier….Tied for Low Medalist at 2014 NC Mid-State 3-A Regional…..All-NC Mid-State 3-A Regional Selection in Senior season….Completed high school with at 75 career 18 hole scoring average.

Coach Fennie On Tristan: “Tristan comes in with an immense amount of talent and competitive experience that will be much needed in a relatively young team this year,” Coach Fennie said. “I love the fact that he is 100% committed and excited to be a part of the Greensboro College golf program and looks to continue its history of success.”

Greensboro College will be looking to improve on their third place finish in the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament from last season, and look to advance to the 2015 NCAA Division III National Championships that will be held at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina in May 2015.
