GREENSBORO, NC — Greensboro College Director of Athletics John Trice announced on Wednesday that he will assume the responsibilities of Director of Soccer heading into the 2014 season. In this role he will oversee and serve as Head Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s soccer programs at Greensboro College for the fall season.
“With the timing to this coaching change, it is important that I make a decision that will not only prove to be the most beneficial for the returners and incoming student-athletes, but also for the women’s soccer program long-term.” Trice also said, “I feel that serving as Director of Soccer for the fall will provide a coach on-hand immediately for the current team and ensure that the process of hiring a new coach is not rushed.”
Trice takes over a women’s soccer program that finished their 2013 campaign with an 8-8-1 overall mark, while going 7-4-1 in USA South play. The Pride women’s soccer team will get their new season underway on August 29th as they travel to take on McDaniel in the Marymount University Tournament.
