GREENSBORO, N.C. – Guilford College dropped a Saturday afternoon Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) contest to Randolph-Macon College, 2-0.
In the 20th minute, the Yellow Jackets’ Jen Labarge delivered a tight corner kick that bounced off the head of Harley Marrocco to claim the early lead. Lindsey Hall added to the Yellow Jacket lead in the 37th minute thanks to a Mia Heydet pass on a close run to the goal.
Both team held each other scoreless in the second half, with the Yellow Jackets outshooting the Quakers, 10-7. Randolph-Macon also held the advantage on corner kicks, 6-3.
Guilford’s Becca Banks made three saves for the Quakers before Caitlin Young relieved her in net for the final 15:28 of the contest. Randolph-Macon’s Elizabeth Blanco stopped one shot.
The Quakers (0-5-1) return to action Wednesday, hosting Methodist University for a 7 p.m. contest.
