College Men’s Golf News – Guilford’s Tanner Gross Named ODAC Golfer of the Week

FOREST, Va. – Guilford College sophomore Tanner Gross (Archdale, N.C./Homeschooled) earned the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s (ODAC) Men’s Golf Player of the Week Award for the week ending Sept. 28. Gross has now won the honor four times in his career.

Gross led Guilford and other ODAC competitors at last week’s Tournament Town Championship Preview by shooting three-over-par 219 over 54 holes at Grandover Resort in Greensboro. He placed eighth among 90 contestants, who represented 18 of the top NCAA Division III teams in the land. Gross shot 73-72-74, which helped the Quakers to sixth place in their first tournament of the year. His even-par second round score of 72 contributed to Guilford’s team score of 291 in the round.

Coach Justin Tereshko’s Quakers are competing Monday and Tuesday (9/30) at the Gordin Classic in Columbus, Ohio.
