LEXINGTON, V.A — The Greensboro College Pride women’s swim team opened their 2014-15 season on Saturday afternoon at the ODAC Relays hosted by Washington & Lee University. The Pride were among nine teams at the event, and came back to Greensboro with a seventh place finish.
The Pride had their best performance of the event in the 100 yard Butterfly Dolphin Kick Relay. The Pride relay team that consisted of Regina Robertson, Sierra Zentz, Madison Peregoy, and Jurnee Dutremble finished in third place with a time of 1:04.50.
The Pride women also had six other top 10 finishes in the event including a fourth place finish in the 3×100 Medley Relay.
“We had some solid swims for our first meet of the season with some personal bests,” Pride Head Coach Katie McNerney said. “We hope to continue to improve as we progress through the rest of the season.”
The Pride women’s swim team will return to action on November 1st when they travel to Hollins Universirty to swim against Hollins, Gallaudet, and Ferrum College.
