GC’s Widenhouse Named to First Team All-Conference USA South Volleyball

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro College’s Liz Widenhouse, has been named to the All-USA South Conference volleyball first team.

A senior outside hitter from Mt. Pleasant, Widenhouse has led the Pride volleyball team throughout the season. She has recorded a team-leading 466 kills while adding 379 digs and 43 total blocks.

Freshman outside hitter Breana Baker of Charlotte was named to the conference’s All-Sportsmanship team, composed of one player from each of the conference’s member institutions.

The Pride volleyball team finished its 2014 conference regular season with an 8-11 mark while going 16-15 overall. The Pride will face top-seeded Maryville College in a USA South Conference Tournament quarterfinal match on Friday, Nov. 7th.
