“On November 9th, some of the states best high schools teams gathered at Proehlific Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. The premise of the event was for teams from around the state to play against high quality, unfamiliar teams. That pitted 8 public and 10 private school teams spanning from Asheville to Garner and everywhere in between.” – Rick Lewis.

“Play began at 8:00 AM and continued until 7:00 PM. A teams played 3 games in a predetermined order. Local teams included Greensboro Day, Northern, Northwest, Southwest, and Page to name a few. Out of county included Word of God, Asheville Christian, and Virginia Episcopal. This was considered an open recruiting opportunity for college teams, and coaches were in attendance.” Andy Gore.

  1. GDS looked pretty good Saturday winning all 3 games. The offense was a little behind the defense but that was probably to be expected. It is looking like they should have another great year. They have some young kids with big time talent to go along with all of those kids coming back.

Page was disappointing as a team but Seagers has improved and they were missing Overton.

Thought Southwest looked good and Northern and Northwest were solid.

High Point Christian has also reloaded. They are very good again. Looks like it should be a good year of hoops in the area.
