GREENSBORO, N.C. – Guilford College dropped a Saturday afternoon triangular meet with Ferrum College and Greensboro College Saturday afternoon. The host Pride earned a 102-67 victory over Guilford while the Panthers collected a 103-74 victory over the Quakers.
Freshman Isabel Gutierrez picked up the lone event victory for the Quakers in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:17.99, earning the close victory by .69 seconds. Her finish fell just .75 seconds outside the top-five marks in school history. Gutierrez picked up second place in the 100-yard backstroke, with a time of 1:13.68.
Morgan McKinnon collected second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:07.89. The senior also placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:24.36, 6.37 seconds behind Gutierrez’s mark.
The Quakers return to the pool December 5th and 6th, traveling to Randolph-Macon College for the Randolph-Macon Invitational.
