The Cowboys of Southwest Guilford hit the road to face off against their city rivals Raiders of Andrews. Following a Red Raider layup, the Cowboys quickly put 10 straight on the board to seize control of the game. The Raiders chipped away, but the visiting Cowboys held a steady margin, and the opening frame closed at 24-15.

The second quarter was mor back and forth from as the the Southwest lead hovered around double digits, eventually settling on 43-32 headed into the break after a basket at the buzzer for the Raiders.

The second half opened the same as the first with the Cowboys going on a quick spurt, but nevertheless the Raiders kept scratching away and refused to lay down. A 6-0 run to end the frame put the tally at 61-47.

The final quarter had the Raiders continue on their run getting the deficit to 61-52 at the 7:15 mark. The Cowboys responded well and slammed the door shut on any Andrews’ attempt at a fight. The final tally was 85-65 in favor of the Cowboys who move to 5-0 on the young season.
