RICHMOND, Va. – Elon University sophomore guard Luke Eddy has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday, Dec. 15.
Eddy came off the bench to score a career-high 27 points in only 24 minutes in Elon’s narrow 78-73 setback at Missouri last Thursday. The Charleston, W.Va., native poured in 21 second-half points to help the Phoenix erase a 19-point deficit, including a three-pointer with under a minute to play that cut the Tigers’ lead to one. Eddy finished 8-of-15 from the floor, including 3-of-5 from three-point range, and was a perfect 8-for-8 at the free throw line.
Elon returns to action tonight at 7 p.m. at second-ranked Duke. The game will be televised live on ESPNU.
