Game Report on Southwest Guilford at Page Boys Basketball from Wednesday night

Courtesy of SWG assistant coach Greg Vlazny:

The Cowboys returned to game action by hitting the road tonight to face off against the Pirates of Page High School. The Cowboys won the earlier matchup this season, but the Pirates have been bolstered with the return of a big center piece. On a bitter cold night, the Cowboys seemed to be frozen on the court. It was a miserable performance all around on both sides of the ball. The Cowboys couldn’t get anything going and after a pathetic opening frame the visitors were down 15-7. The misery continued throughout not only the second quarter but also the second half. As the Pirates heated up, the Cowboys seemed to be as cold as outside. The flat, and unmotivated Cowboys were outplayed by the Pirates in dominate fashion to the tune of 93-57 whooping. Southwest was led by KJ and Kam Langley with 14 and 11 respectively. The Pirates were led by Xavier Hill-Mais with 24. The Cowboys need to regroup and rebuild quick as they return to conference play on Friday night as they host the Glenn Bobcats.
