GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford was able to grind out a tough Piedmont-Triad 4-A conference win versus East Forsyth in a hotly contested game that was a very entertaining high school game. The Vikings were able to take control of the game in the fourth quarter and held off the Eagles valiant effort with a 90-83 victory. Northwest finishes the season in 2nd place in the conference and compiled their 2nd consecutive 20-win season. The Vikings will be the #2 seed in next week’s conference tournament which will be hosted by East Forsyth.
–Northwest’s effort was spearheaded through 5 players in double figures as they shared the ball with 26 assists on 33 made field goals. Jaylen Gore had 23 points and 7 assists while Reggie Davis was able to contribute 18 points and 8 rebounds for the Vikings.
— Sam Covington finished with 17 points and Tre Turner added 13 for Northwest. The Vikings also got a double-double from Jalen Spicer as he had 12 points and 10 assists.
–Drew Cone led the Eagles with 31 points while Madison Cone added 30 points for East Forsyth.
