Baseball (11-11, 3-0 CAA)
Elon at NC State, Tuesday, March 24, at 6 p.m., Raleigh, N.C.
Elon at William & Mary, Friday-Sunday, March 27-29 at 7/4/1 p.m., Williamsburg, Va.

• After two midweek bouts with 14th-ranked Maryland, Elon got its tenure in the CAA off with a bang by sweeping James Madison over the weekend. The Phoenix had two walk-off wins in the league series as Andy Moore delivered a two-out RBI single in the 10th inning on Friday before Danny Crowe had a RBI single in the 13th inning on Sunday.
• With its 5-4, 10-inning victory over JMU on Friday, Elon improved to 12-4 all-time in league openers at the NCAA Division I level.
• Junior Michael Elefante threw Elon’s first complete game of the season in Saturday’s win over JMU. He gave up three runs (two earned) and scattered nine hits while matching a personal best with six strikeouts. It was the first complete game of his career.
• The Phoenix will play its next four on the road, beginning with a Tuesday game at NC State. Elon will then play its first road CAA series, traveling to William & Mary which was picked to finish third in the league. All four games will be available on the new radio home of Elon baseball, WSML 104.5 FM and 1200 AM.

Men’s Golf
Elon at Seahawk Intercollegiate, Sunday-Monday, March 29-30, Wilmington, N.C.

• The Phoenix placed fourth out of 15 teams at Sunday’s one-day Blue Devil Shootout with a score of 299.
• Red-shirt freshman Charlie May led the maroon and gold as he shot a one-under 71 to tie for second out of 80 individuals in the field.
• Elon will now travel to Wilmington, N.C., to play in the Seahawk Intercollegiate hosted by CAA rival UNCW.

Men’s Tennis (6-9)
Elon vs. College of Charleston, Tuesday, March 24, at 3 p.m., Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
Elon vs. USC-Upstate, Wednesday, March 25, at 2 p.m., Spartanburg, S.C.

• The Phoenix got back on the winning track with a 7-0 sweep of James Madison on March 21, the team’s first of the season. Elon was perfect on the afternoon, sweeping all three doubles courts and winning all six singles matches.
• Stefan Fortmann improved his singles record to 8-5 with a three-set win over JMU’s Robert Stirling. The senior has now won each of his last four singles matches dating back to March 7.
• Josh Luck stretched his singles win streak to four matches with a 6-4, 6-1 victory against the Dukes’ Miljan Ruzic. The freshman is now 5-0 at the No. 5 position and has won seven of his last eight matches.
• Elon travels to South Carolina for a pair of matches against College of Charleston and USC-Upstate on March 24 and 25, respectively. It will mark the team’s first road match since Feb. 8 at Virginia Commonwealth.

Softball (18-8)
Elon vs. Radford, Tuesday, March 24, at 2 p.m., Hunt Softball Park
Elon vs. UNCG, Wednesday, March 25, at 5 p.m., Hunt Softball Park
Elon at Drexel, Saturday-Sunday, March 27-28, at 11 a.m./1 p.m., 12 p.m.

• A busy week awaits for the Phoenix as the maroon and gold has a five-game slate with home contests against Radford and UNCG before traveling to Philadelphia, Pa., for its second Colonial Athletic Association series at Drexel.
• Elon posted a 4-2 record last week with a sweep over Rider in a doubleheader, East Carolina and its first-ever CAA victory at College of Charleston. The Phoenix’s win over ECU was its first against the Pirates since 2013.
• Prior to its CAA series at CofC, Elon had won five straight and 14 of its past 16 contests.

Women’s Golf
Elon at MSU Ocala Spring Invitational, Monday-Tuesday, March 23-24, Ocala, Fla.
Elon at John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate, Sunday-Tuesday, March 29-31, Stockbridge, Ga.

• Elon began play at the MSU Ocala Spring Invitational on Sunday, shooting a 303 to sit seventh out of 18 teams after one round.
• The Phoenix is led by Kelsey Badmaev who shot a 74 to tie for 11th on day one.
• Once Elon completes the MSU Ocala Spring Invitational, the Phoenix will head to Stockbridge, Ga., for the 14-team John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate hosted by Georgia State.
• Elon placed seventh out of 16 programs at this event last year.

Women’s Lacrosse (6-3)
Elon vs. Liberty, Saturday, March 28, at 2 p.m., Rhodes Stadium

• The Phoenix extended its current winning streak to three games after a 10-5 win over visiting Davidson on Saturday. Elon saw three goals from Stephanie Asher followed by two goals from both Abby Godfrey and Sloane Kessler.
• Elon wraps up a four-game home stand when it hosts Liberty on Saturday in Rhodes Stadium.
• The Flames and the Phoenix met last season in Lynchburg, Va., with Liberty claiming a 13-9 win in Elon’s second program game.

Women’s Tennis (9-5)
Elon vs. North Central College, Monday, March 23 TBD, Hilton-Head, S.C.
Elon vs. Savannah State, Tuesday, March 24 at 9:30 a.m., Hilton-Head, S.C.
Elon vs. Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Tuesday, March 24 at 3 p.m., Hilton-Head, S.C.

• The Phoenix went 3-0 in its past home matchups in this past week, starting off with a defeat over George Washington (5-2). Elon then had two nail-biting matches against ECU and JMU, defeating both teams with a 4-3 count.
• Barbora Lazarova was nominated for the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week for her matches in the previous week. Lazarova earned some big wins in helping the Phoenix sweep their matches this past week.
• Elon travels to Hilton-Head, S.C., for a tournament against North Central College, Savannah State and Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The first match begins on Monday, March 23 and concludes on Tuesday, March 24.

Women’s Track and Field
Elon at Raleigh Relays, Friday-Saturday, March 27-28, at Raleigh, N.C.

• The Phoenix competes this weekend at the prestigious Raleigh Relays, hosted by NC State.
• Elon last competed in its outdoor-opener at the Coastal Carolina Invitational on March 13-14.
• At the Coastal Carolina Invitational, the Phoenix won titles in the 4×400-meters with the quartet of Jennifer Pash, Lydia Laws, Emily Dixon and Jen Esposito and their time of 3:55.69. Esposito also captured the 400-meter hurdles as she clocked in a time of 1:00.26.
