SOUTHERN ALAMANCE 6, GREENSBORO DUDLEY 3: At Greensboro, Brayden King and Hunter Curtis pitched a combined three hitter and the Patriots remained unbeaten in the All Metro Conference.

King doubled to drive in two runs for Southern Alamance (3-2, 2-0).

*****GIBSONVILLE — Luke Robinson blasted a grand slam home run in a seven-run third inning that gave Eastern Guilford an eight run cushion and the Wildcats went on to defeat visiting Eastern Alamance 14-8 in a Mid-State 3-A Conference baseball game Tuesday.

Robinson finished 2-for-3 with five RBI and a walk plus was hit by a pitch.

Jacob Finerty (double, two RBI), Khyree Lundy (double, two RBI) and Andrew Robinson (one hit, RBI) added to the offensive output for Eastern Guilford (5-1 overall, 5-1 Mid-State 3-A).

Tyler Bryant went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Brandon Andrews finished 2-for-4 with a double and RBI for the Eagles (3-5, 2-4).******

EDEN MOREHEAD 8, WILLIAMS 2: At Eden, the host Panthers hit three doubles and beat the Bulldogs in a Mid-State 3-A matchup. San Shoe started on the mound for Williams (1-4, 1-4) and recorded six strikeouts. Brandon Riley and Spencer Dodson scored the runs for the Bulldogs.

NORTHEAST GUILFORD 4, WESTERN ALAMANCE 3: At McLeansville, Blake Deatherage hit a two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to cut the Rams’ lead to one run but the Warriors couldn’t complete the come back in a Mid-State 3-A Conference game.

Western Alamance could not recover from two errors that contributed to a four run fourth inning for Northeast Guilford (4-3, 4-3).

The Warriors (4-2, 4-2) got the first two batters on base in the seventh but could not push across the tying run.

CALDWELL ACADEMY 13, BURLINGTON CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 0, 5 innings: Jonathan Holley rapped three hits, including two doubles, to lead visiting Caldwell Academy. Holley also picked up the victory on the mound, striking out four. Troy Langmeyer also had a double for Caldwell Academy (4-1).

BCA (2-4) only recorded two hits.
