HPU’s Robertson Named Honorable Mention AP All-America WBB

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Redshirt-senior Stacia Robertson of the High Point University women’s basketball team added to her impressive list of postseason accolades on Tuesday garnering AP All-America honorable mention recognition.

Robertson is the first player since the program moved to Division I to be selected as an honorable mention AP All-American.

The forward averaged 16.3 points and 10.0 rebounds in 2014-15 and led the Big South with a .579 shooting percentage. She finished the year ranked in the top-50 nationally in field goal percentage (10th), blocked shots (11th), steals (29th), offensive rebounds (30th), rebounds (34th) and double-doubles (38th).

In March, Robertson became the second player in HPU history to be named Big South Player of the Year. The Grand Island, Neb. native ended her career in the Purple & White as one of two players in the program’s Division I era to amass 1,200 points and 800 rebounds.

On March 26, Robertson signed to play professionally with the Bendigo Lady Braves in the South East Australian Basketball League.
