Sam Hildreth(Northern Guilford HS) will play college basketball for the Roanoke College Maroons

Northern Guilford High School Athletics

Sam Hildreth, a 6-6 senior wing from Northern Guilford HS, has committed to attend Roanoke College. He received an academic scholarship and will play basketball for the school.

Sam is a 3 year-starter for Northern and played an integral part in the Nighthawks’ success. He averaged 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game his senior year.

“Sam will be sorely missed,” coach Chambers commented. “He did all the little things for us—taking charges, diving on the floor, playing defense with a lot of heart, and, offensively, being unselfish to a fault.”

“I am very happy about Sam’s decision to attend Roanoke College. Coach Page Moir is a superb coach who truly cares about his players both on the court and off. Sam will be in good hands.”
