CARY – Winston-Salem State’s “drive for five” was all about playing good baseball as it beat Virginia State 8-3 in the CIAA championship game on Saturday afternoon.
The Rams (38-13) won their fifth straight CIAA title and there were heroes up and down the lineup. The win clinched the automatic berth to the NCAA regional.
