Ragsdale Track Teams to the NCHSAA 4-A Championships this Saturday at N.C. A&T

RAGSDALE TIGER TRACK HEADED TO SATURDAY’S STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to Ragsdale’s Men’s Track and Field team on winning the 4A Midwest Regional held this past Saturday, May 2nd , at Dudley High School.

· The following athletes qualified and won the region:
Tevin Quick- Long Jump
Mark Bailey – Shot Put
Jospeh Popek- Pole Vault
4×400- Kendell Fullmore Thomas Neale Aaron Cox and Braxton Boykin

Other qualifying marks were:
· 200m Kendell Fullmore High Jump and Triple Jump; Tevin Quick; and the 4×200 of Johnathon Alexander Braxton Boykin, Thomas Neale, and Kendell Fullmore

Women Qualifiers include:
· Ceondra Ellison- Shot Put
· 4×200 of Corbin Mclean ,Ticoiya Gidderon, Chearla Ward, and Chesney Ward
· Regional Champion Chesney Ward- Pole Vault
· Chesney Ward set a new Regional and Guilford County record in the pole vault with her jump of 12’3
· Joseph Popek set a new Regional record with his jump of 14’6 in the Pole Vault

This Saturday, May 9th ,The Ragsdale Tigers go to complete their perfect undefeated season at the 4A State Track and Field Championships held at NC A & T State University. Start time is 10:00 AM.

· The Tigers have won Guilford County, the Piedmont Triad 4A Conference Championship, and the 4A Regional Championships
· Our Tigers are hard at work and are focused on their quest of bringing home the State Championship Banner
