GC’s Norris Named Second Team WLAX All-Region by IWLCA

GREENSBORO, NC – Greensboro College Women’s Lacrosse midfielder, Kirstin Norris, was named to the IWLCA’s (Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association) Second Team All-Chesapeake Region, announced on Monday afternoon.

Norris becomes only the second Greensboro College Women’s Lacrosse player to ever receive this honor. The Pride’s first selection came in the 2011 season when Melissa Gallagher was named to the All-Region team.

Kirstin finished her junior season with 71 goals along with 19 assists for a grand total of 90 points. For her efforts on the field she was named the USA South Athletic Conference Player of the Year, while also earning First Team All-Conference honors along with a USA South All-Tournament Team selection.

“I am extremely proud of Kirstin in receiving the programs second ever All-Region selection,” Pride Head Coach Christie Hebert stated. “Kirstin truly deserves this honor as she pushes herself to the next level while demonstrating her love of the game. She is a great team player who also serves as a leader for the rest of her team”

Norris is now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams that will be announced on May 18th.
