Grandinali, House Make NCAA Debuts For HPU Track

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – High Point University men’s track & field student-athletes Paddy Grandinali and James House made their NCAA Preliminary debuts on Thursday evening inside Hodges Stadium.

Grandinali entered the 10000m run as the No. 41 seed and improved on that positioning by a strong 14 spots, finishing 27th in a time of 30:50.94. The Warwick, N.Y., native ran a very consistent race, battling through a bottleneck early to remain in solid positioning throughout the 25 laps.

House raced in the first heat of the 100m dash and placed 45th overall in a time of 10.91 seconds.

Junior Austin Miller will represent the Panthers in the NCAA Preliminary Friday when he competes in the pole vault. Miller’s event begins at approximately 4:30 p.m.
