HiToms Drop Three Straight

FINCH FIELD, NC, – In another nail bitter that came down to the bottom of the ninth inning, the HiToms (16-17) were unable to produce when they needed to most falling to the Holly Springs Salamanders (16-18), 5-4.

The first five innings remained relatively quite where the lead was tossed around between both teams multiple times. However, the finial trade was the most important when the Salamanders took the lead for the final time after a huge six inning.

From there the five runs stood strong against the HiToms efforts.

A late rally in the bottom of the eighth and ninth by the Tommies kept the fans on the edge of their seats but ultimately was not enough.

The HiToms take to the road tomorrow traveling to Martinsville to face off against the Mustangs at 7:17 p.m. High Point – Thomasville comes back home after a day off on Wednesday to host the Charlotte Crushers for an exhibition game at Finch.
