Eastern Randolph Post 81 outlasted Kernersville Post 36 on Monday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 10-5 win at Eastern Randolph.

Eastern Randolph Post 81 pulled out the win thanks to a strong third inning. Eastern Randolph Post 81 scored on an RBI single by Jacob Sipe off Rob Rodgers, scoring Carmine Pagano.

Pagano racked up two RBIs on two hits for Eastern Randolph Post 81. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Bailey Steed got the win for Eastern Randolph Post 81. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Rodgers was the game’s losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked two and struck out four.

In the top of the first, Kernersville Post 36 grabbed the early lead, 3-0. Kernersville Post 36 caught fire after Jacob Nester singled. Then Bailey Edwards homered, bringing home Mason Striplin and Jacob Nester.

It didn’t take long for Eastern Randolph Post 81 to respond as it scored four runs of its own in the first. Eastern Randolph Post 81 scored on an RBI double by Pagano, an RBI single by Easton Jones, a groundout by Sipe, and an RBI double by Ryne Yates.
