Fall Registration Now Open for First Tee of the Triad

THE FIRST TEE OF THE TRIAD FALL REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

GREENSBORO, N.C. – – The race to register for fall programming is on at The First Tee of the Triad. At 12:01 a.m. today, registration began for The First Tee of the Triad’s fall programs.

After a record-setting summer with 13 different summer programs throughout The First Tee of the Triad footprint, the local chapter is pushing into the fall to capitalize on its momentum and continue making a difference in the lives of as many Piedmont Triad children as possible.
The First Tee of the Triad utilizes the game of golf to teach kids (Ages 7-18) essential character traits and valuable life skills. Our program hinges on The First Tee Code of Conduct: respect for myself, others and surroundings. Using this as a cornerstone, kids participate in exciting and creative golf games that teach core values, healthy habits, decision-making skills, goal setting, communication skills, proper etiquette on and off the golf course, conflict resolution and more.

Fall programs begin Aug. 31 at all 16 of The First Tee of the Triad locations. After-school programming runs for eight weeks from 4:30 until 6 p.m. New this fall, The First Tee of the Triad is offering Saturday classes. The First Tee of the Triad offers girls-only classes called GirlsGolf2gether at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons and Gillespie Golf Course in Greensboro as well as classes for teenagers only called Teens on the Tee.
“We are having a phenomenal summer, and even though we have a month to go with our summer programs, we are pushing into the fall to be ready when school opens late next month,” The First Tee of the Triad CEO Mike Barber said. “We want to provide our programming to as many Piedmont Triad students as possible because we know what a positive immediate impact our classes make on their lives and their futures. So even while we are still focused on completing our summer classes, camps and clinics, we multi-task to allow parents the benefit of including us in their after school schedules. It makes for a hectic summer, but creating convenience for our parents and kids is well worth it.”
