The Greensboro Parks & Recreation Department will host registration for youth cheerleading and youth football. Registration starts on June 15th and runs through July 31st. Ages are 7-12 year olds and based on the August 31, 2015 cut-off date.
The registration fee for cheerleading is $50.00 per participant. The fee will include the participant’s T-Shirt and Shorts and a medallion at the end of the season. Parents wanting to register their child for cheerleading may come by the Parks & Recreation Office located at 1001 Fourth Street, Monday – Friday from 9am until 4:30pm. To register parents need to bring a copy of their child’s birth certificate, P.A.Y.S Card and registration fee.
For the 2015 youth football season, the age groupings have changed. This fall we will offer the following age groupings:
– 7-8 year olds with a weight limit up too 115lbs.
– 9-10 year olds with a weight limit up to 130 lbs.
– 11-12 year olds with a weight limit up to 145lbs.
The registration fee for youth football is $50.00 per participant. To register for youth football, parents may either stop by the Parks & Recreation Office located at 1001 Fourth Street or stop by the Following Recreation Centers. (Lewis, Peeler, Leonard, Trotter, Windsor, Glenwood, and Warnersville)
To register, parents must submit a copy of the player’s birth certificate, P.A.Y.S Card and pay the registration fee.
