GREENSBORO, NC – The Greensboro College women’s soccer team continued their dominance to open the season on Saturday afternoon. The Pride welcomed the Wolves of Wesleyan College to town and came away with a 6-0 victory.

Lauren Greeson opened the scoring for the Pride just over five minutes into the game to give Greensboro an early, 1-0, lead.

Over the next fifteen minutes of play, Greeson recorded another goal while Samara Alba provided two goals of her own to send the Pride into the break with a 4-0 lead.

Coming out of the intermission period, the Wolves were able to keep Greensboro off the board before Megan Cole placed a shot into the top left corner of the net off a beautiful cross from Melanie Raton to make the score 5-0.

Greensboro then got their final goal of the afternoon off the foot of Amanda Foley to seal 6-0 victory.

The Pride held a 22-4 advantage in the shot category with 12 of them coming on frame.

Brittany Morrison (2-0) picked up the win in goal while making two saves.
