In the words of his coach, “Zach is an outstanding young man of character, leadership, and on the field play. Zach is a junior and was chosen without question to be a captain of the Northwest Football Team for 2015. He is motivated, hard-working, and an example for our younger players. His academic pursuits are no different, as he is respected by his teachers, administrators, and coaches for his efforts in the classroom. He takes several high level courses and balances his school work with his athletic schedules. I remember at the end ofa loss this year, Zach stood in front of the team and encouraged the entire group to keep their heads up because one game does not define us. He is deserving of this award.”
