The Cowboys hit the road for their first road test on the young season. Southwest took the trip over to the opposite end of the county to square off against the Rams of Northeast Guilford.

The Rams are coming off a road loss to Smith last night, while the Cowboys are coming off a home blowout of Andrews. Will the Cowboys be able to keep the success going on the road?

The game opened up as a back-and-forth affair. Period with Southwest cleaning the lead for the night at 6-5 at the 5:47 mark. That was the start of a Cowboy run but took the lead to 10–5. The Last four minutes of the quarter was back and forth closing at 16–10 in favor of the Cowboys.

The second quarter was when the Cowboys really upped the defensive intensity and held the Rams to only five points for the quarter. The Cowboys held strong for eight 35–15 lead at the break.

The third-quarter was still all Cowboys as the defense of pressure forced several turnovers and limited the Rams to only nine points on the quarter ballooning the margin to 51–24.

Southwest kept the defense of pressure going and once again held the Rams to only five points in the final frame putting the final touches on a convincing 65-29 road victory.

The Rams were led by Dononique Strogdale with 9 points. Southwest was paced by Kam Langley (19 pts, 7 Stls, 6 Rebs, 5 Asts ), Keyshaun Langley (14 pts, 5 Asts, 3 Rebs), and Kobe Langley (10 pts, 5 Asts, 4 Rebs, 2 Stls).
